Aura

A quiet place to check in with yourself.

In development · iOS

What it is

Most apps in this corner of the App Store are built like instruments: they count symptoms, score your mood, and hand back a chart. Aura is built like a room. There is no dashboard and no number telling you how your day went.

You open it and you are somewhere calm. Aura asks how free, how capable and how connected you feel right now, and helps you find the need sitting underneath the feeling. That is the whole ritual: a few minutes, a few times a day, in a place that does not treat you as a problem to be solved.

Aura will not tell you what happens next. It gives you enough quiet to work it out yourself.

Three spaces

Where a feeling lives

Aura divides your life into three, and each one has a landscape of its own.

Freedom

Wide-open valleys

Room to move, and the absence of pressure. This is the space you visit when something feels forced.

Capability

Granite pine forests

Strength and steadiness. The space for when you feel you are not up to something.

Connection

Misty lakes

Depth and stillness between people. Where you go when a relationship sits heavily.

The ritual

Five steps, a few minutes

The same shape every time, so it becomes something you do rather than something you decide to do.

  1. Tune

A one-time set of questions establishes how you are built — not a type, but a position on a spectrum. Everything after is shaped by it.

  2. Pause

Something feels heavy. You stop and name which of the three spaces it belongs to.

  3. Align

You match what you are feeling to the need underneath it, choosing from what is offered rather than staring at a blank box.

  4. Echo

Aura reflects your state back to you in a few sentences, and offers a Key — one concrete thing to try.

  5. Safehouse

Whatever you want to write goes here. Nothing reads it, scores it, or sends it anywhere.

Privacy

The Safehouse is private

Your journal is stored on your device and is never sent to a server. No language model reads it, summarises it, or learns from it.

Aura needs no account, no email address and no name. Readings are generated through a secure proxy that carries no identifier back to you, and purchases are handled entirely by Apple.

Aura is a tool for reflection. It is not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for talking to someone when you need to.
